P42 material change
We are improving the corrosion resistance of our proven P42 bracket. The powder-coated surface treatment of the clamp will be replaced by high-grade electrochemical zinc-nickel plating (85% Zn + 15% Ni) increasingly popular in automotive industry. The plating provides corrosion and wear resistance even better than zinc plating but doesn't change the black looks and the functionality of the product.
The new plating has been tested in our salt spray tests for more than 1000 hours and we are pleased to be able to say that it passed without any remarks at all including the usual scratched and dented clamps used for testing.
P42 brackets with the new zinc-nickel plating will enter the production as standard component during week 10/2021 and no action from your side is needed. Please contact our Sales Team for more information.
